My Green Thumb

Aah... sigh !... How I wish to live between shrubs, bushes, vines and trees.... surrounded by flowers and fruits... and fluttering butterflies and buzzing bees and chirping birds !.... that too right in the middle of a desert ???
But the gardener in me refuses to give up !
The six months of summer are quite depressing to see the plants shrivel and then dry up eventually in the scorching heat. but come winter and my rakes and waterspouts come out with great enthusiasm.
Just looks at those bunches of tomatoes... my very first attempt... and i am so happy to show off !

Portrait in Bali

As much I love art... I love travelling. On my last trip which was to Bali... oh wait... the ever so beautiful Bali ! I got a chance to meet some very lovely artists. They were a bunch of youngsters who met up at the Annie's guesthouse to draw and paint. I joined in... i must say i was slightly apprehensive to , since i hadnt drawn or painted in a long time. it was after a lot of prodding my my Hub and my Kiddos that i agreed to. I decided to do a portrait of this really pretty girl sitting next to me. She seemed a little embarrassed initially . And after I was done the group really appreciated my work. They framed and put it up on the wall in the cafeteria. What a proud feeling it was to see my painting each time i passed by !
